BSX Racing Team Maribor forwarded us the calendar of this year's Alpe Adria BMX Championships. The series includes 14 races in 7 venues in Austria, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia.

After the first race in Rivignano, Italy, the series moves to the Maribor track in Slovenia. The only Slovenian races are taking place there on May 6th and 7th. From there on four weekend in Austria and one in Hungary follow.

Ou of last year's stops Verona is missing since they will be hosting a round of European series. We might have hoped for a round on the new track in Ljubljana, but... "We were bidding but we were not successful in our first try," says KD Rajd's president Tine Mahkovec. "But we will hold an open race with good prize money. The new start ramp will also be in place by then."

The dates fro Slovenian events are still coordinated. There should be two races in Maribor and two in Ljubljana.

"The discipline is now really growing, there are more and more young riders," says Tilen Frank, the BMX coordinator for Slovenia Cycling's MTB and BMX Commission.
