2017 Enduro World Series just ended in Finale Ligure in October yet the 2018 season is approaching fast. Amateur riders who don’t have starting places assured otherwise will get a chance to enter the public lottery. It opens on Thursday December 7th.

 

The lottery style entry system allows applicants 48 hours starting at 00:01 GMT on December 7th to register for a ticket, then entries are drawn among all applicants.

 

Another chance opens on January 22nd once all the reserved rider and team entries are processed. Registration will be available through the EWS website on a first come first serve basis.

 

The Wildcards

Then there are wildcards. There are only 20 available globally and will only be awarded to a few riders who were unable to compete in the qualifier events due to injury or come from an under-represented nation. There will be some extra wildcards handed out by event organizers. At Austrian-Slovenian round at Petzen and Jamnica as well. 20 local riders (Austrian and Slovenian) will be chosen by Black Hole Bike Fest and SloEnduro. But the riders interested in these wildcards should first enter the lottery!

Round 5 - 21 - 22 July, La Thuile, Italy

Round 6 - 12 August, Whistler, Canada

Round 7 - 22 - 23 September, Ainsa Sobrarbe, Spain

Round 8 - 29 - 30 September, Finale Ligure, Italy
